It’s getting real. We’ve moved to Salt Lake City, in a beautiful house donated to our family, while we temporarily live away from home for three months. With a countdown of T-minus 10 days until the big Transplant Day, we are quarantining to ensure no one gets sick. With this unique paired exchange it’s crucial that no party ends up with something viral, or gets sick. To bypass the time.. Elie is laughing at big brother, blowing bubbles, and trying fruits for the first time (she even convinced dad to try the banana baby food.. her eyelashes and gummy smile didn’t work on mom & big brother. Jarred, mushy food? .. bleh). Eliana has noticeably gotten more and more sick, and severely uncomfortable. Her jaundice has peaked, and her levels are worsening (her eyes and skin have gotten so yellow, it’s everyone’s first comment when they see her.. so, we call her our “Golden Girl”.. who wants to be called yellow?). We are anxious but so excited for her to have her transplant soon, so she feels better and she can feel like a “normal” baby. We feel all of the prayers, blessings, and Gods work within her whole story- what an amazing testimony this Golden Girl will have. Please consider donating $7.80 on 7/8/25 (Transplant Day) to COTA in honor of Elie to help give hope. The Tibbs family love and are grateful to those following her story, and sending positive prayers and vibes.
