And I absolutely love it.. when she smiles. 

Really. Nothing heals any kind of worry or hurt like an Elie smile. Although, the number of smiles have gone down.. as her two bottom teeth start to come up. Soon she will have the cutest little smile with two bottom teeth sticking out. To think she has us wrapped around her finger now… oh boy. 

Elie had labs drawn today, and we got a call saying for the first time since she’s been born.. her liver enzymes are within range!! Woo-hooooo!! Seriously, such a good day just for that news in itself. Her Tacro level came down to be within range, and her kidney functions seem to be stabilizing. What. A. Blessing. Our girl is trending within range!! Although she still has to do labs twice a week, and we’re still monitoring her closely.. she is as good as can be expected. And Elie WILL do great things. She will take this life by storm.

Now, we face real life-“normal” baby challenges.. like- but not limited to- teething, sleep regressions, epic blow outs, and the “if you drop that again, I won’t pick it up this time” .. and we of course we pick it up anyways. Sister is getting teeth, waving “hi” at everyone, working on sitting up, and blowing raspberries. 

Justin is healing beautifully as well. Dad and his tiny Tibbs girl are doing this together.. every step of the way. I can’t wait to share with her how courageous her daddy was, and how brave they got to be.. together. As I exhale and say, everything is okay… everyone is okay.. right now.. I hope this exhale maintains itself. I pray every day, that transplant week will be the hardest week I’ll ever have as a mom.. and it just continues to get easier and feel more natural as we go along. Elie is so resilient (it’s genuinely impressive.. I’m thinking I should probablyyyy change her middle name to it) ((kidding)) but serious.. she’s the strongest. And it’s truly inspiring.
