While Elijah waits for a precious heart he continues to grow and move past the massive roadblocks put in his way. As we watch him in these videos and photos it is important to understand his resolve is of the purest form. He does not understand much of what is happening to him or why. He just wants to live, laugh, and be himself. This post from his mother, Haley, shows how the simplest things can be so important.

“Elijah had a really good day today. He walked up and down the halls while holding the nurses hand. He got to play with the x-ray machine. He turned the night on and off and had a blast! He said his to his friends too. We also gave him a bath in his tub tonight which he enjoyed. Elijah is doing great for being in heart failure. They even had to decrease his calories due to him growing too fast!. Elijah is just living his best life and making tons of friends!”
