Hey guys, Elijah has developed a fever and we don’t know why. The highest it’s been is 102.2. The doctors are finally checking for a central line infection and doing additional labs. I told them to not just treat the symptoms and to do labs to figure out WHY this is happening to him. Keeps us in your prayers. Our family will be sprated this holiday season.

The holiday season is generally regarded as a special time for families. But when circumstances in health and life in general, get in the way, the holidays can become a very mixed bag of sadness and precious snipits of joy.
We can pray, hope and wish for a break but sometimes, many times, the break never seems to come. There is the work to be done, time to be spent, and the precious moments when you find traces of that joy.
Update:
Elijah has been feeling pretty bad these past few days. He’s over his fever though, which is great. He is having worsening heart failure symptoms it’s been brought out by his illness. Shortness of breath. Frequent destations, throwing fits because he dosent have energy to play.

He’s currently on 4L of oxygen at 100% but last night we went up to 5L for a short period of time.
The heart failure team and I have a meeting on Thursday to descuss his case.
Elijah has a cath scheduled on Monday the 9th. I don’t know if it’s set in stone, we’ll see.
