Elijah recently experienced a stroke, which the medical team believes may have occurred during his cath procedure. They are closely monitoring him to understand the full extent of its impact.
The medical team will be meeting to discuss the next steps in his care and determine if he is a candidate for the Glenn Procedure.
Thank you all for your continued support and prayers
Haley (Mom)
This is a pretty rough time for Elijah and his family. A procedure (Glenn Procedure) that should have helped him restore some of his oxygen levels may have triggered another complication. A stroke; and since that discovery Elijah has been very uncomfortable and not sleeping. The word is, Elijah is now suffering from “Hospital Delirium”.
Elijah has been in a state a severe delirium for over 20 hours he’s only slept 1 hour in that time span. He’s been crying soild for most of the time. This has been one of the worst 20 hours of our lives.

And to make matters even tougher, Elijah’s dad is having a rough drive from Toledo to Seattle to get to his wife and son.
When it rains, it pours. Got a call at 1130 last night that I needed to get back up to Seattle. On my way got pulled over for speeding leaving Philomath, got up to Tumwater Washington and blew my serpentine belt due to a pulley bearing locking up. Now waiting for Oriellys to open to get parts and get up to Seattle.
James (Dad)
Family is rallying now. Please keep Elijah and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Make a donation to COTA for Elijah Strong if you can.
