It looks like Ella will be moving out of the ICU tomorrow! She had another echocardiogram today and the right side of her new heart is starting to catch up, she is able to get up and walk around, and she is eating!
In order to prevent early rejection, her immune system has been completely suppressed. She has almost zero T-Cells. She will be in the hospital for another week or two while they re-build her immune system and watch for early signs of rejection.
Since she is coming home at the beginning of Flu Season, we are asking all of our friends and family to help be part of the “herd immunity” for those who are not able to get their Flu Shot!
