Hi family and friends. Emma was admitted yesterday afternoon to Lurie and her mom and dad are with her. Today the doctors shared that she is moving from Level 4 status up to Level 2 status, which means she should be receiving a heart in approximately 4-6 weeks. They are doing many cardiac tests, she is receiving a special IV cardiac medicine for acute heart failure that requires very close monitoring of her vitals. She will be under anesthesia Fri 9/27/24 to have a PICC line inserted. She is in GREAT HANDS and getting outstanding care at Lurie with the Transplant Team. Beth and Leroy are with her and Jacob is home with his Grandma and getting support from his Aunts, Uncles and all of his friends. I will share pictures soon.
