Eric was extubated today and is now on a high flow nasal cannula—such an encouraging sign of progress! With some help, he was able to sit up, and he’s been very determined to do it on his own. He’s not quite there yet, mostly because he’s still getting a bit of sedation, but that hasn’t stopped his stubborn spirit—he tries to get up every chance he gets!

A little while later, they did put the CPAP mask on to help support his lungs, which were working a bit too hard and looking a little hazy. It’s all part of the process, and his care team is on top of it.

We’re so proud of how strong and resilient Eric continues to be. Every day brings new challenges, but also new victories. Keep the prayers and love coming—he’s fighting with everything he’s got!
