So I haven’t posted in a while and I apologize. We are kinda transitioning back to “normal life” or whatever that will even be like now and it has just been hectic. We have just been hanging out while Faith heals. She has been doing really well medically and physically. She hates not having her ostomy anymore and pooping like normal. Lol. It’s pretty interesting to watch a 19 year old learn how to do what most of us mastered as an infant/toddler.

We wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

We have a lot to be thankful for this year. Grace got to travel all the way across the country to spend some much needed time with her aunt. I miss her today but I am so grateful that she could go, I think she very much needed a break from the crazy at home.

Teddy and I get to witness Faith sit at the table and eat with everyone else and eat like a normal person for the first time since…. EVER! She will eat and it won’t hurt her. She won’t spend 2 days in bed just because she wanted some pie. We aren’t going to have shove a tube in her face to help her but cause her pain at the same time. It’s actually a pretty crazy and emotional and exciting thing for all of us.

I am a complete basket of nuts as usual….

 

And we are always so thankful and grateful for all of the support that everyone gives Faith and the rest of our family through this journey. I say it again and again but it truly helps Faith knowing that she is not alone in this and people genuinely care.

We hope everyone has a safe and Happy Thanksgiving and remembers to focus on the good things around you and what you are thankful for. Life is short, enjoy and love as much as you can.
