Today is the day! #GivingTuesday2022
Most of you have already started Christmas shopping. How many of us couldn’t wait to get that Black Friday deal we were hoping for? What is the most sought-after gift for you this year? For many of us, it’s the new i-Phone or a Michael Kors pocketbook. Maybe your man is looking for some new hunting gear or a tool box. We all deserve nice things at the end of a year after we have worked so hard to provide for our loved ones.
Today let’s set aside our own wants and needs and think about Faith and her family. This year, Christmas will be about celebrating life!! This time last year, the Disney family was given a choice to get Faith the life-saving transplant Faith Disney needed or call Hospice. Of course, they chose LIFE!!! Faith got the call on Mother’s Day this year that she was set to go get that transplant. After months of the ups and downs, in and out of the hospital, happiness and disappointment, Faith is recovering beautifully. We could not be more proud of our girl. She is a fighter!!!
Unfortunately, what is left in the aftermath of a life-saving transplant is a lifetime of medical bills and incurred costs that will not cease in the foreseeable future. Today, after the Black Friday deals and Cyber Monday shopping sprees, please give the gift of Life by making a donation to COTA in honor of Faith’s Fight. Please don’t stop supporting COTA just because Faith has her transplant and is recovering like a champ most days. Her family will be celebrating life this Christmas but it might not be wrapped in pretty paper and bows because they struggle with the insurmountable medical bills.
