Community Support

Recently, we posted that it takes a village. Community support really is so needed and appreciated. Thursdays are often extremely hard on the family as they are still full of appointments, driving to and from, waiting, treatments, and of course, the rest of life and its responsibilities. When neighbors and community members reach out to help, whether it’s making dinner, helping with groceries, or watching the boys so Mom and Dad can get things done, it doesn’t go unnoticed. Years ago, there was a TESCO (a grocery store in Europe) advertisement that said, “Every Little Helps.” This is absolutely true for Jax and the family.

This past Tuesday, a volunteer from Jax’s school, Hursey Elementary, helped by babysitting so Mom could get some important paperwork done. Another neighborhood friend came to help keep Jax entertained so Mom could spend some quality time with Brixx. These are the “little things” that really mean so much.
