In the rare occasion that the family isn’t overwhelmed with doctor’s visits and other daily responsibilities, they try to enjoy being together and letting the boys be boys. They have made a point to explore the city of Charleston and to play tourist in their own town a few times this summer.

Recently on a visit Downtown, the boys got a treat when visiting the Charleston Fire Station at Meeting and Wentworth. They learned about the history of the station and when speaking to some firefighters about their medical history, they were invited to climb aboard one of the firetrucks! It’s moments like these that make all the difference…kindness really counts.
