Recently, Jax’s grandmother passed away. She lived a long life and left this Earth at the age of 95.

Jax and his family drove to Hendersonville, North Carolina last week to pay their respects. With all of Jax’s treatments, getting out of town can be tricky, but this was a trip they had to take, and the family decided to make the most of it.

A family member had told Jax’s mother, Brittany, about a place called Cascades Mountain Resort. This is a family friendly hotel with an indoor pool and pretty incredible waterslide. Jason, Jax’s dad, took Jax and his brother, Brixton, while Mom was with family. The boys had a mini vacation. It goes to show that you can make lemonade out of any lemons life throws your way.

Jax’s mother, Brittany, said her grandmother was a fighter and a giver. She was the type of person who made an impact on your life. The boys will remember her by the quilts she made them. Others will remember her by her personality traits and her many talents: sewing, gardening, and canning, to name a few.
