Jax has a pretty regular appointment schedule and he and his family know when he’s supposed to be at the hospital for his treatments. Typically, these appointments are on Thursday. Jax’s parents check MyChart regularly, but you know how technology can be sometimes. There was no appointment showing in MyChart, and the BMT doctor over the weekend had told them to count on coming in on Thursday, as per usual.

Monday, they got a call about 9 AM asking where they were. They scrambled to get downtown and arrived a bit late, but as Mom said, “We made the most of it as we always do.”

Jax loves taking a picture with the frogs outside of the emergency room exit. He’s also made friends with “Puffy,” a pufferfish in the aquarium inside the hospital. Jax greets the fish every time he arrives and tells him he loves him. Such a sweet boy!

Scheduling snafus do happen, but Brittany said she was glad she was able to get Jax to the hospital even with the mishap, and Dad, who has been taking Jax to the recent appointments, was able to get “Dad stuff” done and to pick up brother, Brixxton, from school when the day was over.
