Trials and tribulations. Hardships. Sometimes it seems like you’re always being knocked down, but Jaxson’s got it right, God is always with you. In a recent church service, Jaxson learned Joshua 1:9. “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

We often talk about how cheerful Jax is. We talk about how his spirit isn’t broken; how he is always smiling and having a good time. Perhaps that is the confidence he feels (even as little as he is) that the Lord truly is with him. Wouldn’t it be nice if we as adults remembered this in our darkest hours?
