Jaxson had an appointment yesterday as a follow up to the procedures he’s had for his bone marrow transplant. He makes the trek from North Charleston, where he lives, Downtown to MUSC, weekly. Jaxson’s mom shared that he typically goes twice a week.

Yesterday was “just another day” for Jaxson. He’s so used to the visits and has gotten accustomed to his treatments. He, as usual, had a giant smile on his face yesterday, but cheered up even more when he saw his favorite nurse, Nurse Emily, wearing his Aplastic Anemia shirt, which was created and sold as a fundraiser for COTA in honor of Jaxson to assist with a lifetime of transplant related expenses.

Jaxson’s team is great, and really love him. He’s a hard one not to love. He’s got such a great smile and attitude, despite what he’s been through at such a young age.
