As many of you know, Jax’s journey has taken him away from the classroom for the last year and he’ll not be able to be in kindergarten this year, as he should be. These early years for development are critical, and Jax is missing some foundational skills that he’ll need when he is able to finally join his peers in school. The school system isn’t yet providing homeschool for Jax, and his parents are concerned that they don’t have the additional time or materials needed to properly support him educationally.
Jax loves science and recently was gifted a science kit which he took to the hospital during one of his visits. His favorite nurse, Emily, helped him work through the instructions to complete the experiments.

There are free educational resources online, Kahn Academy for example, but otherwise it takes a lot of time to search through websites to choose materials. There are also some programs which require subscription that could help support Jax. Adapted Mind for example, is a program which could help bridge the gap in both reading and math. The subscriptions of course usually have a fee.
Support comes in many forms. If you’re reading this, please know that any support offered is always appreciated. Whether it be providing a meal for the family, helping educationally, supporting COTA in honor of Jaxson to assist with transplant-related expenses, or helping in some other way, your assistance is cherished.
