The Bills Add Up

Being a parent means dealing with all the things…the fun moments, the stressful ones, the ones that make you so proud, and the ones that leave you wondering how in the world you’ll ever manage. They say there’s light at the end of the tunnel, but when you’re in that long, dark passageway, it’s sometimes hard to keep the faith.

Jax’s mom, Brittany, was laid off a couple of weeks ago. She was on FMLA for 12 weeks, and Jax’s dad, Jason, is on FMLA now since Jax can’t go to school. Insurance costs are outrageous. Jax goes to the hospital twice a week. The bills keep adding up.

It’s extremely humbling to have to ask, but they are looking for organizations, churches, or anyone who could help with rent and utility assistance. COTA is able to assist with transplant-related expenses, but more help would be appreciated.

Jaxson has an extremely rare blood disease, but because it’s not cancer, he doesn’t get the same assistance from some of the big organizations that would help cancer patients. Jaxson’s disease called for a bone marrow transplant, but financially, there isn’t a lot of support coming in.

If you are reading this and you know of an organization that could help, please reach out.
