January 2026 Update

Its been a while since I gave an update, so I want to share what I’ve been up to. It took me a good while to get through recouping after the flu. I was coughing gunk for quite a while and majorly pulled a muscle in the process, which was extremely painful and couldn’t heal because of the continued coughing.

On New Year’s morning, Aunt Pam Simboli had to call 911 because I had passed out with a very low blood sugar. They got me back to normal without needing to go to the hospital- thankfully. Unfortunately, I broke a toe in the process and severely injured two others. Again- extremely painful.

I’m feeling much better on both accounts and my blood sugar has been doing really well. My strength is still not great, after the flu, but I’m slowly getting there. I’ve also been really struggling with still waiting on my transplants. It’s been about 5 months since my “dry run”- my almost transplant, and I’m struggling with feeling like it’s just never going to happen.

In trying to stay positive with the wait, I’ve been learning how to sew and quilt bags! It’s been really fun (except when I’m swearing profusely), and I’m learning fast! It’s been wonderful in keeping me busy and not stressing about things.

The first bag I made was for Pamela Simboli for Christmas. The second bag I made was a purse for myself. Mom Denise Lyons Hare only helped me with corners and bindings because I don’t seem to have the strength to push through the thick layers of fabric there.

Thanks all for the continued love and support ❤️
