Gillian has continued to do well the last 2 days, today she is battling some severe abdominal pain & nausea, but she hasn’t lost any of her drive to push through. She had an x-ray and ultrasound early this morning, making sure everything looked ok with the intensity of her pain and nausea climbing so high. Thankfully, everything looked ok. She has multiple finger pricks throughout the day, & her body seems to be responding well to the insulin, which is amazing!! She is grateful to be in her own clothes and out of a hospital gown. Aunt Angie and cousin Keira flew in for emotional support and it has been so nice having them here 💜 Gillian hates the tube feeds and they make her nausea so much worse so she made a deal with the transplant team–if she could drink two Ensure drinks and eat some solid food today she would’t need to be on tube feeds through the night. She was so determined to keep the tube feeds off that she hit her goal, fighting through her intense nausea. I truly don’t know how she handles all of it 🥹💜 Thank you for the lovely care packages, love and support! We are so blessed to have you all in our lives! 💜💜
