The weather in Cincinnati was perfect today. We took advantage and requested another day pass. This time we walked across the street to the Ronald McDonald house and set up schoolwork on the rooftop patio. John is embracing the teacher role. I…am not. But I make an excellent time manager and schedule keeper.

Things are fairly uneventful today. We are still in a holding pattern waiting to see if the lymph nodes are healing up and keeping a close eye on his abdominal drain . Jack is back up to sugar free liquids which is a good sign. If he continues on this path we may be discharged on Monday. It will be nice to be outpatient! Our hospital room window faces another hospital room so we don’t get much sunlight in here.

No real updates other than Jack was back to his regular chatty self this evening. It’s so nice to see his personality reviving. Forget the pain scale, we use the talkative scale and it sure seems like tonight Jack hit ‘back to normal’. Let’s keep that momentum going.
