Jack has been walking and sitting up more and more. He’s not happy about it, but he’s pushing through. New today: he gets to drink water! He’s loving every drop of it too. Later today they will start tube feeding him so we are cruising right along!

Rumor has it he will be able to wear street clothes in the next 24 hours! His color is coming back and his swelling is starting to go down. Today he will walk at least two other times then it’s more sitting up and resting.
The surgeon stopped by this morning to check up on Jack. He told us that Jacks surgery is their new record for quickest. He said from incision to stitch up was about 7 hours where it’s usually 10 and he’s even had one go 19. He said everything went textbook perfect and had no complications. The way jacks pancreas had hardened actually made it easier to get out than usual too, so silver lining! He also made sure my blanket was actually done before the 7 hour mark from incision because he was fairly confident he won. Nice try.
we will continue to shed the bags and medications and hopefully once he has some calories in him, Jack won’t feel as lightheaded. Time will tell!
