We are walking into 2026 with the “conviction of things not seen” becoming a reality right before our eyes. Today’s labs brought a massive victory as Jake’s electrolytes have settled into a normal range and his body is making its own blood once again!

For the third day in a row, his X-ray showed NO air pockets in his lungs. This means the left chest tube can come out tomorrow and, if all goes well, the right and final chest tube can come out Saturday!

We have a family meeting next week with Jake’s entire medical team to determine the best path forward for rehab.

We have spent so many weeks hoping and praying for these moments while they were still “unseen.” Today, we are seeing them. Jake is breathing easier, his powerhouse heart is leading the way, and we are ready for the incredible restoration this new year holds.
