Great news from St. Louis

Jake’s cardiac catheterization went smoothly and so did all of the additional testing. We were able to meet with all his transplant teams as well. The cath results are very positive. The pressure on one side of Jake’s heart was low, and while the pressure on the other side was slightly elevated compared to his cath 2 weeks ago, the doctor isn’t concerned. He felt it was due to discomfort during the procedure since Jake was positioned with his arms above his head which tends to be quite painful for his shoulder. We got the call this morning that the biopsy results came back with no signs of rejection!

We now have a two-week stretch before we have to head back to St. Louis. We are taking full advantage of this time at home to focus on his recovery and getting back to life. Jake has officially started back on his online classes. When not doing school work, he has therapy sessions scheduled every day, including a rotation of Cardiac, Speech, and Occupational Therapy. We are so happy to have him home and moving forward. Thank you all for the continued prayers.
