Our Story

The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) helps children and young adults who need a life-saving transplant by providing fundraising assistance and family support. COTA is the nation’s only fundraising organization solely dedicated to raising life-saving dollars in honor of transplant-needy children and young adults. 100% of each contribution made to COTA in honor of our patients helps meet transplant-related expenses. COTA’s services are free to our families, and gifts to COTA are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

  1. Hello everyone,
This is our sweet 5 month old Jasper. Each day we will post updates on this page. Jaspers recent victories include being off of the oxygen machine and breathing on his own and he ate .5 oz of a bottle! This is a huge victory. Jasper still has a feeding tube in him. Currently he is rejecting his feeding tube feeds. Hopefully, we will be able to replace the feeding tube with bottle feeds in the next month. Jaspers heart is continuing to fail. We pray for God to give him the strength he needs until a transplant becomes available. Each day is a roller coaster ride for us. If I have not returned your messages don’t be offended. Please understand how difficult our current situation is and allow me time to get back to you. It may take me a few days but I will respond to your messages. Feel free to post any questions on this site. Liz, my niece, will be reviewing the site daily and can probably get back to you quicker. Thank you for all your love, prayers and support.

  2. You are in my thoughts. Saying prayers for Jasper & all of the family.

  3. Miss you both so much!!!! I think of you , Teddy and Jasper constantly and pray for your continued strength and courage. We love you so very, very much. ??

  4. My thoughts and prayers are flowing every minute. I am praying hard that he will overcome all this and be safe from any harm. I am praying with all my heart for you, your son and your family. No words could do justice. I am sharing throughout to get donations for you. I will also seek out churches for prayers and any help for you. God please keep Jasper warm and strong through his ordeal. He is loved by you and the world. Please let him live to a ripe old age and let him have a chance to see the world on earth that you have created for all. God be with you!

  5. Praying for little Jasper and family! Stay strong! Hopefully a transplant is available soon!

  6. Another couple of days on the roller coaster ride. Our biggest positive is, Jasper is no longer on narcotic pain meds. However, he is not taking the bottle or his tube feeds. He is super fussy and sleeping alot. I think he misses his daddy and all of his family.
