Our Story

Jayce McClary is 3 years old, and is the most kind boy. Jayce was born with Hypoplastic Left Hearted Syndrome where the bottom chamber of his heart didn’t develop. He has been the brightest light since he developed his personality. From the biggest smiles, the best giggles, and loving to be thrilled! His brothers (ages 7 and 5) are his best friends. Children under the age of 12 are not allowed to visit the floor Jayce is on currently with the sick season. Jayce is a family boy. He loves being silly and giving sass.

Jayce is currently in heart failure and there is no other surgical intervention that can be done for his current heart. He is living day by day and doing his best to stay strong. The next step for Jayce is a Berlin Heart. This is a mechanical heart that will beat for his current heart until he receives his new heart.

Please consider donating a gift card for food/restaurants to help us while we are at the hospital or traveling to and from the hospital. https://mealtrain.com/0dg4ov

COTA will assist our family through the transplant process, and donations to COTA for Jayce’s Journey will assist with a lifetime of transplant-related expenses. His only wish is to come home. Prayers and positive vibes are what we are living on right now to bring this amazing handsome kid home.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart and beyond.

The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) helps children and young adults who need a life-saving transplant by providing fundraising assistance and family support. COTA is the nation’s only fundraising organization solely dedicated to raising life-saving dollars in honor of transplant-needy children and young adults. 100% of each contribution made to COTA in honor of our patients helps meet transplant-related expenses. COTA’s services are free to our families, and gifts to COTA are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
