Jesse’s good pal, Nick, stopped by to check on him and Jesse was proud to show off his battle scars!
Medical progress of the day:
- The doctors removed Jesses pacing wires today.
- If Jesse keeps this momentum up, he has the potential to break out of the hospital Wednesday! He would be moving to the rehab center for a week for continued therapy and strengthening of skills, before being discharged and able to move to local housing.
- Doctors are currently in the process of setting a date for Jesse’s first heart cath and bypass. These tests are performed to check the hearts health and to make sure there are no signs of rejection. Jesse is still at the highest risk for his body to reject the new heart through the first 3 months, (and still considered high risk into months 4-6), so continued daily prayers for his body to continue to be a hospitable and flourishing environment for this new heart.
- Jesse continued with a regular diet today and is doing well. He also has continued to walk the floor and go to the bathroom on his own today.
