7/24/24: Updates on Jesse

It has been a couple of days since the last update, so here is the quick rundown on how Jesse is doing:
-He was able to walk a couple of days ago and again yesterday
-He is able to eat regular food
-The doctors have removed his arterial line in his wrist and the swan from the arterial line in his neck
-The doctors have removed all four chest tubes
-Jesse is completely off O2
-Jesse is off of pain meds except for Tylenol
-Due to all of his continued progress and steady achievements, Jesse is moved out of cardiovascular ICU to the cardiac step down floor
-His heart is falling out of rhythm when he stands or exert energy. This is normal after a heart transplant, but the doctors are monitoring it. He currently has a pacing wire in his heart that acts sort of like a pacemaker

Jesse is obviously exhausted, but his spirits are high. His mother, Lisa, who is right by his side is doing well and resting when she can. Her and Jesse appreciate all the love everyone has provided! Keep the prayers coming!
