Our Story

Hello, my name is Kamari and I am 12 years old. I was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS). I received my new heart on October 22, 2023, and have been left with some problems that require me to need care around the clock. COTA is helping me and my family with transplant-related expenses. I have always aspired to be a chef and to one day own my own restaurant. I love to cook and experience different types of cuisine. I love video games and building Legos. So please if you can find it in your heart to donate to COTA in my honor and be a blessing, we will be forever grateful!

PS. Make today the best day ever! Smile and say hello to someone and make their day!

The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) helps children and young adults who need a life-saving transplant by providing fundraising assistance and family support. COTA is the nation’s only fundraising organization solely dedicated to raising life-saving dollars in honor of transplant-needy children and young adults. 100% of each contribution made to COTA in honor of our patients helps meet transplant-related expenses. COTA’s services are free to our families, and gifts to COTA are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
