We have several pieces of exciting news to share!!! First – A HUGE thank you to Indiana Wish Foundation &- Julie Hauck for making Kendal’s wish come true!! We are super excited to welcome Koda – Kendal’s diabetes alert dog in training to our family! Thank you also to Stony Lonesome GSD, Suzanne Seger & Dog Training Elite for also helping make this wish come true for Kendal!! We are so excited for Koda to be able to join Kendal at school soon & to know we have that extra layer of protection to help with Kendal’s high and low blood sugar episodes especially the lows that occur while she is sleeping!!
Another exciting piece of news – Kendal will be featured on Mix105 (www.Mix105Indy.com) next weekend. The radio station will feature pieces of her story & anyone (& hopefully everyone) can call in to record words of encouragement for her. Completely free to do but priceless for Kendal!!! Thank you to the person that nominated her to be on their broadcast, it’s such a neat way to remind her and all the other featured individuals going through hard situations that they’re not alone!!
Final piece of exciting news involves a save the date!!! If you’re free and in the area, please come out to Purdue Softball Bittinger Stadium on October 12th at noon to watch Manchester take on Purdue. Kendal is working so hard on getting back physically to be able to play in the game & with her determination I have no doubt she’ll be ready to go!
Thank you again for all the support and prayers, it’s so hard to give words to how much that has meant to her and to us as well knowing she had the village supporting her over the last 4.5 years since the tumor that created all this nightmare was first discovered.
