This weekend was such a blessing for our family 🤍
Khristian was able to attend Camp Pump It Up, a special overnight camp created just for children ages 8–12 living with heart disease. This camp isn’t just about fun (although there’s plenty of that!) — it’s about giving heart warriors a place where their physical and emotional health are supported, where they can connect with other kids who truly understand their journey, and where they can simply feel normal.
What makes this camp even more meaningful to us is that it’s staffed by incredible volunteers who have played such an integral role in Kemarah’s and Khristian’s heart journey. These are the same caring hands and compassionate hearts who have walked alongside our family through hospital stays, procedures, prayers, tragedy and victories over the last 14 years. Seeing them pour that same love into this camp is something we will never take for granted.
Seeing Khristian have the opportunity to attend — to laugh, build friendships, try new activities, and just be a kid — was truly priceless. It’s hard to put into words how much it means to see your child surrounded by people who understand both the strength and the vulnerability that comes with living with heart disease.
We are beyond grateful. This weekend was more than a camp — it was encouragement, connection, and hope for our bravest heart warrior 💙
