Landon is feeling way better, is more active, is eating more solid food than he ever has and is starting to get some of his words back while learning some new ones!
Landon’s PTLD scans look good! Repeat scans will be in August and monthly labs will continue to monitor. His oncology doctors only worries are the potential for symptoms to happen and the possibility of having to increase his anti-rejection meds which could cause the PTLD to come back.
Liver labs have improved so Cidofovir infusions are on hold! He hasn’t had an infusion since the end of January and his numbers have remained good. We will continue to monitor labs every other week.
Landon had a follow up with his kidney doctor as well. She was happy Landon’s GFR is still at 53 percent kidney function – the same it was a year ago. She is slightly concerned his kidneys have not grown much in the last year, so will continue to monitor them. If his kidneys don’t grow as he grows then he may run into issues in the next 20ish years because they are so small from being born premature. We are hopeful they will start growing! Landon has really only started to gain weight and get taller in the last 2 months since his transplant in July. He now weighs about 24lbs – 4 ½ lbs more than last November.
