Today we celebrate Landon’s 1st Liverversary! We celebrate how far he has come and the new chance on life. While the last year has brought many ups and downs on this rollercoaster medical journey, we still never knowing  what tomorrow will bring.We are thankful for the great medical team he has. We are grateful everyday Landon is a fighter and so brave. We cannot imagine our life’s without him.

At 18 months old Landon was finally big enough to be officially listed for transplant. Our hearts broke with so many emotions. The hardest part was knowing the only option to save Landon would mean someone else would be losing their child. After we lost Lexi we know first hand losing  a child is a pain that never goes away and something I wouldn’t wish upon anyone.  Yet for the next 8 1/2 months that’s what we had to wait for.

Not only do we celebrate Landon and everything he has overcome today, but we remember his organ donor as well. We celebrate the life they had. We pray for the family to find peace in their tragedy knowing their loved one saved Landon’s life. We are thankful everyday for this gift of life and will never take that for granted, because we know first hand tomorrow is never promised. Let’s pray for the child’s life that was lost a year ago.
