Hello All! Sorry it has been awhile since anything has been posted. Leila had her transplant on 09/13/2024. Her kidney is doing wonderful! However, she has had some complications. She developed pneumonia, from MRSA. She is on two antibiotics. Because of this, she has been requiring more respiratory support from the ventilator, and with nitric oxide. She is still sedated so she can heal. They have attempted to wean her off of the nitric oxide, but that caused a critical reaction. She is currently stable, and still requiring support respiratory wise. They are hoping to wean the nitric oxide slowly again today or tomorrow, then hoping to wake her up. She has also accumulated a lot of fluid. They are hoping her abdomen will reabsorb the fluid. They have also repositioned her to prone, which has gone well. Please keep little Leila and her family in your thoughts and prayers! Pray for continued healing, and for less respiratory support. Pray that they will be able to wean her off! Thank you!!
