6/18/84 Born in Erie, PA. — First child born to Mark & Dara Fuhrman.

November 1987 — During a surgical procedure to remove an enlarged adenoid, the
anesthesiologist informs us that Lindsey has a heart murmur (this had not shown up in
previous exams.)

1988 through 1997 — Lindsey’s grows up enjoying dance, drama, softball and most of
all, babies. She actually starts babysitting when she turns 10.

November 1998 — Lindsey has a cold that lingers and we take her to Dr. Gallagher,
Lindsey’s cold/asthma doctor. During his exam, he comments that Lindsey’s heart
murmur sounds different. He recommends that she get it evaluated. We are surprised
and concerned by his comments, but schedule various doctor visits in December to rule
out anything serious.
