Days 33-40 – September 13, 2025

Back at bloodwork this morning- I love this photo as he’s learned the elbow tap well. What a week of mercies and joys! God is so good. We have had a beautiful week of weather in Pittsburgh. We were outside most the week and Mac got to take baths again-Mac loves baths so this was big. We took many park visits when it was isolated. We feel like the fish in finding Nemo that cleans everything quickly with alcohol wipes. For the praises Mac gained 1.5 pounds in a week so his overnight tube feeds were cut in half again! They discussed us going home in a week pray for that in hopeful expectation.
We are still trying to get Mac’s tacro level in the appropriate range. They keep this range highest for the first six months after transplant to keep his kidney happy in it’s new body- that’s why we’ll be very mindful and in prayer for the next 6 months about being around people. It’s nothing against people as you know we love our people.

We believe God’s promises to be true! If you’ll pray this prayer over us and Mac and your family as well, I would absolutely love that.
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
    will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
    he is my God, and I trust him.
3 For he will rescue you from every trap
    and protect you from deadly disease.
4 He will cover you with his feathers.
    He will shelter you with his wings.
    His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
5 Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
    nor the arrow that flies in the day.
6 Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness,
    nor the disaster that strikes at midday.
7 Though a thousand fall at your side,
    though ten thousand are dying around you,
    these evils will not touch you.
8 Just open your eyes,
    and see how the wicked are punished.
9 If you make the Lord your refuge,
    if you make the Most High your shelter,

no evil will conquer you;
    no plague will come near your home.
For he will order his angels
    to protect you wherever you go.They will hold you up with their hands
    so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.You will trample upon lions and cobras;
    you will crush fierce lions & serpents under your feet!
The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.
    I will protect those who trust in my name.
When they call on me, I will answer;
    I will be with them in trouble.
    I will rescue and honor them.
I will reward them with a long life
    and give them my salvation.”
We need not fear because the one that made Mac protects Mac with a glorious shield of protection.
