“I look up to the mountains;
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
The maker of heaven and earth, and mountains. He won’t let your foot slip” Psalm 121
Almost 2 years ago I read this verse at the eulogy of my uncle James. My Aunt Jenny asked me to read it. We had just got out of the ICU from a 2 week respiratory visit. And we got the call that our Uncle James had died. I told my aunt we would be there if it was in God’s will. And four days later surrounded by people at Thanksgiving I read this verse. I didn’t know it then, but this verse would be so pivotal to me for the past two months with Mac’s recovery post Transplant. Many times I looked at the beautiful hills of Pittsburgh in tears telling God we were faithful even if my brain and the physical
said otherwise. Returning to Columbia, Tennessee last Monday. This verse has repeatedly flown through my head as I look at these beautiful hills that we love so incredibly much. What a gift it is to be home. Thank you God”
