Day 16 – August 20, 2025

Mac’s gj tube was successfully placed in IR. Our nurse Taylor held his hand and stroked his head the entire time- she said that he said” I’m good” to her too. One of my prayers has been for Mac to talk again. It sounds kind of silly to say that if you know him because he’s such a chatterbox.
But he got very inward with far off stares. A mixture of pain and shock. Andy asked last night “do you think he knows that my kidney is inside of him?” I said yes he even jokingly told a nurse the day of admission he was going “to get daddy’s kidney”.
But can any of us prepare for what’s to come when getting a new kidney? The pricks and the prods and all the accessories.
Once running & bedridden until yesterday! We got out of bed and did some standing and a few steps. Today he even started singing his songs & doing some tractor playing with sister and brother. Prayers for continued successful j tube feeds, full breaths breathing with a big new kidney takes adjusting, health

“Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.” Hebrews 10:30

If you will continue to pray this verse for us to have patient endurance. My Uncle Jamey sent me this passage this morning and I was thinking how timely it is. We talk about this word a lot as a family, Patient endurance, but to walk takes a lot more muscle surrendering to the Holy Spirit. In hindsight, we can always look back and be grateful for the patient endurance we achieved during a trial. Surrendering to Gods will with patience and commitment and gratitude
