Mac’s 5th Birthday!

Mac just celebrated his 5th birthday! He really enjoyed this one – past birthdays he’s been in lots of pain so it was sweet to see him really enjoy it! We did all the things he loves, balloons covering his floor to surprise to wake him up, outdoor play with his mud kitchen, blow up pool and riding mama’s bike. We showed him photos of his birth – daddy talking to him right after he had been resuscitated and transferred to hospital and all the amazing angels that helped keep him alive that day.

We had a small party at his favorite place to visit in the world he calls it “Villages Clubhouse” in Columbia and it was themed with all his favorite things : Bibleman sword of the spirit tag the sword on the Bibleman, tractor supply shopping experience, loading corn into tractors, max and ruby messy play and more. With a few friends and family to join the fun.

After our last more emergent Pittsburgh trips his EBV numbers were cut in half- all glory to God!

Insurance approved mailer kits to do with our weekly labs locally so hopefully when numbers stay low we will have more time at home and less time in Pittsburgh.

Ebv is what is called a sleeping giant. With immunosuppression meds it can wake up and cause devastation in body we are praying it goes back to bed in Jesus name.

And other good news, Mac is on extremely low immune suppression to keep his immune system fighting off EBV which we believe is God’s work . He has had a history with needing a strong immune system. Also through testing they see that he has a very low risk of rejection which confirms what we’ve clung to in faith. We can say that we’ve been well for the past seven months, which is pretty remarkably amazing and only God.

He’s been asking for prayer for his feeding tube. He asks God for it to come out. He has been working more with eating more and drinking more. He currently is doing a group feeding therapy class with Villages Development which he just loves.

We’ve been revisiting church now in person which has been a joy. And Mac just started baseball for the summer season.
