I wanted to hop on here before the end of the day to let those following know that Macy is resting comfortably in the PICU. There were some complications in the OR during transplant that made for a very long and emotional day. I don’t have the bandwidth to explain in detail right now and some details are still unclear. What is important right now is that Macy is stable, Erin’s kidney is producing urine and we are cautiously optimistic the things will continue to improve. I think we will have a clearer picture tomorrow after we can follow trends in her labs.

Also, Macy is killing it over here. She is unbelievably strong and taking all the things in stride.

Erin’s surgery went well and she is recovering. Please pray that her nausea and dizziness resolves and she can be discharged soon to fully recover at home with her family.
