Happy Birthday to our amazing 11 year old!! Even though Max had to celebrate his birthday in the hospital, it was a day filled with fun, excitment and suprises. I was able to be wheeled over from Froedtert to spend an hour with Max and Travis and in that hour my heart overflowed with so much happiness. To see Max’s smile was such a gift and then to watch him walk brought me tears of joy. The staff at Children’s Hospital definitly made Max’s birthday unforgettable. The day included a special message on his window, a card filled with special wishes from the entire floor staff, a crowd singing happy birthday and a couple of awesome gifts. To top the day off a paper plane competition was held. Doctors, nurses, staff along with Travis, Max and myself created paper planes to compete. It was so much fun and Max was so happy that so many joined in the fun. Such a great day for an incredible boy. Travis and I are so overwhelmed with the genorsity of so many that have helped to make Max’s birthday unforgettable. A huge thank you to everyone who has sent cards for Max’s birthday, his joy and smile has been priceless.
