The fundraising goal set in 2005 when Mia was first diagnosed was $50,000, and with the tremendous support of volunteers, family, friends and strangers – we raised $76,404! Those funds have been used for Mia’s transplant-related expenses throughout the years and there’s very little left.
When Mia’s mom, Shasta, contacted COTA to let them know about Mia’s upcoming kidney transplant, Rick Lofgren, COTA President & CEO, set a new goal of $125,000 to better reflect what they believe will be actual costs going forward and in consideration of what had already been raised 13 years ago.
We have over $45,000 more to raise to cover expenses this time around. Let’s keep this fundraiser alive!
Thanks for your support!
