Today was a beautiful day in Paradise for Achieve Charter School’s March for Mia. Many thanks to the wonderful organizers, teachers, students, parents and friends who participated and made the fundraiser so successful and fun-filled.
The event included a 5k run/walk along the Yellowstone Kelly Heritage Trail, a pancake breakfast served by the CSU, Chico Women’s Basketball Team, face painting and bounce houses for the kids. There were plenty of smiles to go around!
Our transplant girls, Mia and Nyah, walked the 5k with friends and family. It was wonderful to see them feeling so well and enjoying the support of the Achieve community.
This was the second time Achieve sponsored a March for Mia. When Mia was just a baby and Achieve was also in it’s infancy, they jumped right in to help with our 2005 fundraising campaign. Their mission states: “Our character-building small school environment empowers students to be positive contributors to society”. We definitely saw that in action today!
