Micah is a 17-year-old reserved, but funny, and smart teenager who loves boxing and TikTok. He loves to be around family and friends, but he also loves to be in his room relaxing or playing on his PS4. Micah has been a warrior since birth (born early, learning disability, and muscle weakness) but he does not allow those things to bring him down.
Micah has Stage 5 Chronic Kidney Disease, which he was diagnosed with in 2018 (already at Stage 3). His condition was heightened after contracting COVID. Through all the appointments and back and forth lab/clinic visits, Micah continues to be steadfast and hopeful that he receives a kidney.
Family and friends have attempted to become a living donor for Micah, unfortunately, we have exhausted those options. That has not slowed Micah down. We are still hopeful and prayerful that Micah will get a kidney and continue to thrive. We are asking for donations, love seeds, blessings, and support for Micah and his family as we prepare for the transplant and his full recovery after this procedure. We have partnered with an amazing organiztion to help with Micah’s Journey. Your contributions to this life saving effort through this organization would be greatly appreciated by our family.
The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) helps children and young adults who need a life-saving transplant by providing fundraising assistance and family support. COTA is the nation’s only fundraising organization solely dedicated to raising life-saving dollars in honor of transplant-needy children and young adults. 100% of each contribution made to COTA in honor of our patients helps meet transplant-related expenses. COTA’s services are free to our families, and gifts to COTA are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
