Update for Miracle

Miracle has received her liver and is doing well. The first three months are the toughest as they told us that the body usually rejects the liver. Miracle’s liver is in mild rejection. We have had one hospitalization and one liver biopsy in 2 months post-transplant. Miracle has been gaining weight and now weighs 23 pounds. Although she has a GTube, we are back exploring food and taking bites. This is a praise report by far. We had been making best with the time, as we attended 2-3 appointments weekly for labs and other specialist appointments. This is a process as we are entering into a critical season where colds and viruses are rampant. She is unable to get any vaccines or have dental appointments as this could cause unnecessary infections. So needless to say, our family is still on Covid precautions even though she does not have Covid. We have to treat it just as serious with the liver transplant. Miracle does not look like what she’s been through, and we thank God for our baby girl. She enjoys reading books, playing with bubble, playing with her big brother and running around the house. It has not been easy by our family, but we will continue to trust God through the process. Miracle remains in good spirits. It helps us to continue to be grateful for the process. Thank you for all of your support and donations to COTA for Miracle Strong. Please continue to keep us in your prayers.
