Our Story

Welcome to our COTA for Momo’s Liver page! Where we share the extraordinary story of our beloved son, Armando, who is battling a liver disease called Biliary Atresia. Currently he’s also recovering from a miraculous living liver donation provided by his mom!

At just 45 days old, Armando was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia, a rare and devastating liver disease. News of our son’s condition left us in a whirlwind of emotions. In our darkest moments, we discovered the incredible strength and support of our community. Friends and family rallied behind us, offering their unwavering love and support. We were reminded that we are not alone in this fight, a beacon of hope was ignited!

As Armando continues to recover, we are filled with awe at his resilience and strength. Each day brings new milestones and small victories. Thankfully, through mom’s donation he was given a second chance of life!

We stand before you today, humbled and grateful, seeking your support. We have partnered with the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) to help us cover the overwhelming expenses associated with his liver transplant. Your contribution to COTA for Momo’s Liver will not only alleviate the financial burden of transplant-related expenses, but also provide hope and a brighter future for our little warrior.

Please understand transplant is a LIFETIME commitment that comes with yearly expenses such as insurance out of pockets, pharmacy costs, and lost wages. With Armando being a baby, we have the rest of our lives to account for. Together, let us be the ray of hope that lights up Momo’s path towards a healthy and fulfilling life. Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey.
