Our Story

Nico is 9 years old and lives in Franklin, TN. He was born with a congenital heart condition, and in 2024 he received a life-saving heart transplant. Like many other kids his age he likes to play video games, ride his bike around the neighborhood, read books, play piano, spend time with friends and family, and especially loves to play fetch with his dog, Yoshi. He likes all things Nintendo, Star Wars, Pokemon, Disney, and always goes out of his way to say, “hi,” to every dog he sees.

Nico’s display of resilience through living in the hospital, and the continued need for follow up appointments has been truly remarkable. There are so many hard things and Nico’s ability to overcome with courage and determination to keep going is incredible. We’ll push through and keep moving forward. One day at a time. 💗

We have decided to work with The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA). The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) helps children and young adults who need a life-saving transplant by providing fundraising assistance and family support. COTA is the nation’s only fundraising organization solely dedicated to raising life-saving dollars in honor of transplant-needy children and young adults. 100% of each contribution made to COTA in honor of our patients helps meet transplant-related expenses. COTA’s services are free to our families, and gifts to COTA are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Thank you for your love a support.
