I know this has been a crazy time for everyone, but especially for us! Pearl was admitted on March 13th for pancreatitis. She was discharged on the 17th. She’s doing a little bit better, but still having a lot of symptoms. It was such a strange time. There were a few empty rooms, but not that many. The ER was busy. But no one really in the hallways. And going down to the cafe to get food, there was no one in the cafe, there were tables removed and the rest spread apart. The family center too had tables removed and were allowing people in mostly to get parking vouchers and parent rooms etc. The lobby was empty. It was such a ghost town.
Anyone, we’ve been home since then, trying to stay isolated. Kicked the kids friends out. Order groceries online. Only been out to get meds and bring Lola (Fran’s dog) to Morgan to watch for a while. Trying not to expose Pearl.
This has also been a crazy because the transplant team is leaning towards asking that all their kids AND the siblings that live at home AND their parents continue to home school/work from home until at least the end of the school year! This is Pearl’s senior year. They have no idea if there is going to be prom or graduation. And her play was moved to June, and she has a decent part this year. But she may not be able to do it. Cross your fingers that this works out for her.
STAY SAFE EVERYONE!
