Paige has been starting to accept Gtube feeds and is working on slowly increasing them. This is a big praise! She still has a long way to go with nutrition, but is making headway. Thank you to everyone who continues to lift Paige up in your prayers; we continually see them answered.

 

 

If you would please pray that her ANC levels would increase soon. While it is natural for them to increase and decrease, hers have plateaued for the last 5 days, remaining around 700. The fear is that if they don’t grow or start to reduce consistently that it could be a sign that the engraftment/transplant is failing. Of course as parents we are super anxious and nervous to get these numbers everyday and the stress level increases each day it doesn’t rise. The doctors reassure us that this is not uncommon, but are watching it and discussing whether or not she needs a “booster” drug to help stimulate their growth. This drug does not necessarily prevent the engraftment from failing, but just helps stimulate the growth. So far they want to stick to their current plan and wait and see, something that is not easy as a parent. Please be praying that the engraftment is not failing and specifically that her ANC numbers will start increasing soon. Thank you.
