The past few days have been exhausting but quite productive for Sarah.  She remains in ICU busy with physical, occupational and respiratory therapy.  She is being monitored and tested continuously to ensure her adaption to her new lungs are going as expected without rejection. Despite a few bumps in the road, she is progressing well. A few of the chest tubes have been removed but she remains hooked up to lots of stuff. The staff constantly says that she is amazingly strong; she’s trying to do speed laps as she walks around the ICU floor.  Sarah has to be reminded she’s not running a marathon! Soon she will be transitioned to the transplant floor to continue with her recovery.
